oh god. the holidays. i've been running around more than ben johnson after a visit from a mexican drug mule. i'm so tired! tiiiired. and what's worse, i have a few moments to myself today and i FEEL like i shouldn't be just SITTING here. anyway, i'm too tired to write a lot about the last week, so here is a photo collage. enjoy.
Through deductive reasoning, I figured out who pulled my name. it goes like this
jen ->
melissa
melissa -> natalie
natalie -> marty
marty -> nik
nik -> cj
cj -> jen
now I specifically told people not to tell me who they got, but that didn’t stop half of them. I figured that since I knew half, I might as well figure it out. Then marty and I got in a battle of wits today and he tried to get me to reveal who pulled me. Of course I knew it was him, but I wouldn’t tell him. Then he tried to convince me that I would suffer eternal damnation if I didn’t tell him who pulled me, but I persevered. Phew. Now he’ll never know that I know that he got me. Unless he reads this blog, which he may or may not have the address for. Oh well.
the party was good. the only thing i was sad about was that since we invited so many people, i didn't get to spend a lot of time with individuals. but it was still a lot of fun and kat said the music mix was right on target. mainstream and indie. woo. not that the music was all that noticeable. there was some dancing, though. so you gotta love that. i'm putting up some photos, woo
my parents asked me to write a christmas list, so i did. it makes me uncomfortable to ask for stuff. but here is my list! it reveals things about me that are snooty and things i'm not so proud of. what's yours??

Sorry I didn’t write you earlier, it’s been a hectic week and to be honest, I haven’t even thought of stuff for Christmas I might want.
Hmm, well I could always use a bit of help in the bed and mattress departments. Of course those things are expensive, but I am going to buy some bedroom furniture in the new year, so Ikea gift cards would be good to go towards my purchases.

I also found out I have to buy specialty bras and only one store carries my size, it’s called Secrets From Your Sister and they have gift certificates, I think.

i had a ridiculous time last night - in a good way. a few of my coworkers came over for some pre-party drinks and then we headed over to the party in a cab. i got pretty drunk (i had five drinks, which, in nikkersland means DRIZUNK) and did some stupid things.
a) a shot, then a fruity drink (NO FRUITY DRINKS)
b) my dad called, so ... i called him back? while intoxicated? and told him i'm bringing my boyfriend to meet him on saturday?? AND AGREED TO GO TO CLEVELAND WITH HIM BETWEEN CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S?!?
oh man. regardless of my stupidity, i had a fun time. i am, however paying the price right now. i'm unable to do any work and my head hurts.
